Raymond Lister observed that the village in this work recalls Shoreham nestled in its valley, while the distant hills resemble Devon and the aerial perspective and light demonstrate his experience of Italy. In this respect the print is something of an essay in Palmer's accumulated abilities as a landscape artist. 4.5x7.5 inches.
