published as a lithograph in 1829 by J. Dickinson (See BM 1867,1214.241). On the left Romeo gestures to the rising sun. The print is accompanied by an extract of lines from Act III, Scene 5 beginning 'Look, love, what envious streaks / Do lace the severing clouds in yonder east'. To the right of this sheet is a sketch of an artist (probably Haydon himself) at work on a large canvas.
