after the widening of the central arch (1757) and removal of its houses (1761), with the second Fishmonger's Hall, the Monument, the City, its spires and shipping in the Pool of London in the distance. Oil on canvas. Circa 1790 after an earlier eighteenth century painting, probably by Samuel Scott (c.1702-1772) and made as a pair to accompany one showing London Bridge before the house were removed (see Bonhams 8/12/21 Lot 48). A version of this composition attributed to John Dean Paul (1775-1852) was sold by the Gavin Graham Gallery.
