Alexander Pemberton graduated from the Chelsea School of art in 1981. He won a British Council Award to work in Spain, and, in 1984, an Elizabeth Greenshields Award to work in Mexico. In 1995-6 he won and completed a commission for a large-scale mural at Sandwich Technology School, Kent (funded by the Foundation for Sport and the Arts). In 2002-3 he was commissioned by Biblelands charity to create an exhibition of paintings of Israel/Palestine, following a trip there, and then a further exhibition based on a trip to Armenia in 2004.  In 2009 he showed a series of paintings of the Thames at the River & Rowing Museum, Henley.  

Alexander has shown in numerous group shows over his career. He has had solo exhibitions at Cadogan Contemporary (1992), Chappel Galleries (2006) and an exhibition of his Thames Paintings here at Abbott and Holder in 2014 (Click Here).
