'The Cabinetical Balance: NB The representation of, the astonishing strength & Influence of the Rays from the Rising-Sun, is taken from Sir Isaac Newton's Theory of Light'.
Hand coloured etching. 'Pubd Feby 16th 1806 - by H. Humphrey 27 St James's Street'. On a scales are the three main factions in the Ministry of all the Talents, formed only a few days earlier. On top of the scales are Addington and his ally Ellenborough. In the cups of the scales are Grenville and his supporters, the 'Broad-Bottomites', and Fox and his supporters, the 'No-Bottomites'. From behind clouds a rising sun with the coronet of the Prince of Wales beams light at the new government. In the distance, a sun containing the crown of the King sets over a globe. Above this sun is the ghost of a weeping Pitt.
