'Waht Fiala' ('Vote Fiala') Oil on card. Signed and dated, 1951. Painted after the artist's first visit to Vienna since his forced exile in 1938. Gottlieb Fiala was the Communist Party of Austria's Presidential Candidate in the 1951 Presidential Election. He came 4th, with just 5.2% of the vote.
